It is taboo in the editorial photography world to manipulate your photos. Nearly all companies have strict guidelines about such practices. In the past year there have been several high profile cases of photographers losing their job and/or resigning after manipulated photos were published. Today the Wall Street Journal has another story of such a case in China. The photographer has resigned his position.
The fake photo in question was used to ease environmental concerns, created by China’s new high speed train from Qinghai to Xizang, China.
